Zimi Collections stands in solidarity in eradicating our country and world of racism.

In an effort to address the mounting health, economic and racial crises we are globally facing, a portion of each Zimi purchase will be going to organizations to affect change for a more equity and safe world. We are taking time to update our Etsy page to reflect donations to Hunger Prevention organizations, Community Action organizations, and Anti-Racism organizations. If each and every one of us do our part, we can build a much better tomorrow.

U.S. Representative, Presidential candidate and powerful Black woman Shirley Chisholm said, "If they don't give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair."

 

We charge ourselves and each of our customers to create a larger, inclusive table with ample food, information and listening ears. We also will have a fat stack of folding chairs so that when we are wrong, inaccurate, or need to be reminded that we were raised in a society that was built purposefully to rank and otherize people by race, gender, age, ability, and income, we can have the opportunity to engage more friends and strangers.

Learning is a lifelong process, and we expect each of our customers and clients to expect our company to grow. If you question Zimi Collections, please do so we can hear. We want to hold space for questions, concerns and discussions. We are a small hobby fashion store, but we are not insignificant (or at least we like to think so ;) ).

We stand with the #BlackLivesMatter movement. And "mattering" is the bare minimum. We want every single person, no matter the color of their skin to be able to live in dignity, with respect, and to be able to pursue every creative passion.
